Amanda Hill is a licensed mental health therapist with over 20 years of experience helping individuals and families heal, grow, and build healthier lives. Known for her compassionate approach and deep commitment to accessible mental health care, Amanda has become a trusted voice in therapy, education, and community service across Indiana.
Her work is grounded in empathy, resilience, and the belief that meaningful change is possible for everyone—no matter where they are in their mental health journey.
“Healing isn’t about being perfect,” Amanda often says. “It’s about learning to understand yourself, extend compassion inward, and take small, consistent steps forward.”

Building Connections of Hope: Expanding Mental Health Access in Indiana
In 2020, Amanda founded her private practice, Connections of Hope, with a clear mission: to create a safe, inclusive space where people feel seen, supported, and empowered. What began as a single location has since grown into five locations across Indiana, serving individuals, couples, and families with diverse mental health needs.
Connections of Hope focuses on evidence-based care while honoring each client’s unique story. Amanda’s leadership emphasizes collaboration, ethical practice, and ongoing professional development for clinicians within her organization.
“Mental health care should never feel out of reach,” she explains. “Everyone deserves access to quality support, regardless of their background or circumstances.”
A Passion for Teaching and Mentorship
In addition to her clinical work, Amanda teaches psychology at the college level, helping shape the next generation of mental health professionals. Her teaching style blends academic rigor with real-world insight, offering students a deeper understanding of human behavior, trauma, and emotional resilience.
Within her practice, she also mentors and guides fellow clinicians, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and compassion.
“When clinicians feel supported, they’re better equipped to support others,” Amanda notes. “Mentorship strengthens not just professionals, but the communities they serve.”

Community Involvement and Advocacy for Mental Wellness
Amanda’s dedication extends well beyond her practice walls. She actively volunteers throughout her community, working with individuals and families facing mental health challenges. Her advocacy focuses on reducing stigma, increasing awareness, and encouraging open conversations around emotional well-being.
She believes that mental health support should be normalized and woven into everyday life.
“Mental wellness isn’t a luxury,” she says. “It’s a foundation for healthy families, strong relationships, and thriving communities.”
Writing a Book on Family Dysfunction and Healing
Currently, Amanda is working on a book focused on navigating family dysfunction, offering readers practical tools, emotional insight, and hope for change. Drawing from her clinical experience, the book aims to help individuals understand unhealthy family patterns while empowering them to break cycles and build healthier relationships.
The book is designed to be both compassionate and actionable—meeting readers where they are without judgment.
“You can honor where you came from and still choose something different,” Amanda shares. “Awareness is the first step toward freedom.”
Launching a Podcast to Reach a Wider Audience
Amanda is also preparing to launch a mental health podcast aimed at reaching anyone seeking support, understanding, or practical guidance. The podcast will explore topics such as emotional regulation, family dynamics, resilience, and personal growth—making therapeutic insight accessible beyond the therapy room.
Her goal is to create conversations that feel relatable, informative, and deeply human.
“Sometimes people just need to hear that they’re not alone,” she explains. “If a conversation helps someone feel understood, then it’s worth having.”

A Career Rooted in Gratitude and Purpose
Through every endeavor—therapy, teaching, writing, mentoring, and volunteering—Amanda Hill remains guided by gratitude and purpose. She expresses daily appreciation for the opportunity to support others and hopes to continue promoting mental and emotional wellness throughout her career.
Her impact is felt not only in the lives she touches directly, but also through the clinicians she mentors and the communities she serves.
“This work is a privilege,” Amanda says. “Helping people rediscover hope, strength, and connection is something I’m endlessly grateful to do.”
